I’ll be honest—when I first heard about the In2Care mosquito control system, I was intrigued but skeptical. I’ve been in this industry long enough to know that a lot of products make big claims. So last summer, I decided to test it out at my own home.
What happened surprised me in the best way.
I live in a heavily wooded area, with lots of ivy beds—both in my yard and on neighboring properties. If you know anything about mosquitoes, you know that’s prime breeding territory. Shady, damp, undisturbed areas like ivy are where they thrive. And to make things worse, many of the neighboring ivy beds aren’t treated, which meant I was surrounded by ideal mosquito habitat.
Within a few weeks of setting up the stations and starting the flea and tick fogging, I noticed a real difference. Fewer mosquitoes. Fewer bites. Less swatting and scratching while trying to enjoy the backyard. And the best part? I could still see bees buzzing around my flowers, pollinating like they should be. Butterflies were fluttering through my garden. None of the beneficial bugs were being harmed.
As someone who works in landscaping and cares deeply about healthy outdoor environments, that really mattered to me.
Why I Love This System
We use In2Care Mosquito Stations, which target female mosquitoes when they’re looking to lay eggs. The station uses a slow-acting fungus and a special larvicide that the mosquito picks up and carries to other breeding sites—essentially spreading the control on our behalf. There’s no spraying involved, no chemicals released into the air, and nothing that affects bees or butterflies.
It’s incredibly effective, but also incredibly smart.
On top of that, we offer all-natural flea and tick fogging that’s safe for pets, kids, and pollinators. We’re careful with how and where we apply it—focusing on the turf and shaded areas mosquitoes and ticks love, and staying away from blooming flowers where the bees are working.
The Bottom Line
I wouldn’t offer this to our clients if I didn’t believe in it. I’ve seen firsthand how well it works—and how respectfully it works with nature. It’s exactly the kind of solution I want for my own yard, and it’s one I’m proud to offer through Beyond The Curb Landscaping.
